Scourges & Saltboilers,

If you're not already attending with the Potomac Legion and are interested in our casserole, let me know.

Tim,

I just got some info from Mike Lavis about what I assume is the same event. It looks to be like something we Salt Boilers would most definitely be interested in.

Dan

I should add that Mike Lavis is a brigade commander at the event. We will be a company in his brigade, most likely attached to the Army of the Ohio's battalion. The Potomac Legion is also contributing a company to Mike's brigade.

At September Storm we had a nice sized company composed of the 49th NY, 111th PA, 140th & 155th NY. The Western Brigade and Army of the Ohio together formed a four company battalion under Mike.

Anyone in Mike's brigade will need a Hardy hat because I believe that in one of the scenarios we will be portraying the Iron Brigade on Seminary Ridge.

Further details as they become available...

I don't know how many on this forum took part but I was there with the 6th Ohio and we paid tribute to the 19th Indiana at Willoughby Run by going to where the skirmishing actually took place.

Our captain had written a book about the 19th and gave each of us a card with a soldiers name on it. As he read the role he then shared what happened to that soldier and if he was wounded or killed we bowed down on one knee to honor their memory. It was a very moving event.

I will never forget our time there...camped in the woods, the major storm on Saturday night and the number of troops at what was one of my largest events.
