Folks;
I know that most units already have their own plans to march in their own towns Memorial Day Parades, but if anyone is looking for something to do, we, the 149th NYSV, will be marching in the Skaneateles Memorial Day Parade on Monday the 28th. We do this parade every year and it is a very worth while experience. The parade starts at the VFW post at 9:00 am, and stops at two cemeteries along the parade route. There is a small ceremony at each cemetery and we fire volleys in salute of the real boys. The parade ends at the water front of Skaneateles Lake at the memorial park where there is a final ceremony and we fire volleys of salute once again. We then end up at the VFW again for free refreshments. If anyone is looking to fall in with us, let us know. (Feds only).
