 Post subject: NY State Bill that would affect Black Powder Firearms!

:!: If you have not already heard about it, Proposed Bill A09543 if allowed to pass would make antique and reproduction black powder firearms fall under the same legislation as modern firearms. This means to purchase such, the buyer would have to buy from a licensed FFL dealer, and have a NICS check performed. This would mean added costs and added hassle in my opinion. Read about the Bill here . I would urge reenactors to contact their congressman and voice their concerns, you can do that here; .
